The Second System Effect ....

In late Summer 2023 GWA and Wright Design Ltd successfully installed the next chapter in our plasma wakefield accelerator journey at CERN; a brand new second generation experiment for the AWAKE research programme under the leadership of the Max Planck Institute Munich.

To say we are proud of this is probably an understatement and so we took the opportunity to write a couple of pages on what its all about: The Second System Effect ….
